 | There's good news all around this month, as we just passed the 100,000 mark! What does that mean? Find out, as you read this month's Joy Report...
October 2009
Dear Friends for Souls:
We just passed 100,000! Let me tell you what I mean…In March 2000, we conducted our first Crusade. All along, we have strove to make disciples, not merely decisions, for Christ. So every month for the next 12 months after a Crusade, our International Crusade Directors have provided me with updates on how many of those precious people who were saved at the Crusade meetings, followed up their decision for Christ by being baptized in a local church by local church Pastors. And since our last Joy Report, I have gotten word that over 800 people were baptized in the past month from our last 3 Crusades, and this put us over the 100,000 mark in total from all our International Crusades combined--100,487, to be exact! Nicole, the boys and I are all so excited about this--We count people, because people count!
More great news! Ten years ago, when we started our Ministry, it was my desire to do a major Ministry trip every month. Well, as the years have gone by, I have learned that the best months for outdoor Crusades like ours, in the least-reached parts of the world where we minister, are in the Fall and the Spring. December and January are typically cold enough that the crowd size suffers. And May to August are often too hot, even for the locals. These months are also the rainy season, with monsoons and typhoons an ongoing concern.
But now an opportunity has opened up for me, a great opportunity, to minister internationally even during those bad-weather months! There is a global network of almost 900 Bible Schools, many in the least-reached nations of the world, which is eager for Evangelists like myself to come and teach, train and equip their students in the Word of God for nation-changing Ministry. Starting this December, after our great November Crusade which I will tell you much more about in next month’s Joy report, I will begin scheduling Ministry trips to these places during the bad-weather months. My trip in December will be into Islam-dominated Malaysia, with a short stopover in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam to plan for another such trip later in 2010. I am absolutely thrilled about the world opening up like this; it is an answer to my heart’s desire that I have had for the past decade! While I am in these places, I plan on preaching at Revival meetings in the evenings in the local churches, as well as using these trips to make contacts for future Crusades in these unreached nations. Friends, there is no greater time to be alive as a believer than right now! Have an amazing month, reveling in the love of our great Lord Jesus…
For the Lost,
Kevin
