CampaignsEvangelist to Teens, Jesse Wagner, tells about the Lord's great exploits he watched Him perform during our most recent Crusade--what incredible blessings by Jesus, the incredible God!

December 2009

Dear Friends of the Unreached:

As a rainbow follows a heavy rain, so excitement follows the life of a devoted follower of Christ. Very rarely has this been more true in my life than in this past week on the mission field.

As we arrived early Thursday in one of the most hostile regions of the world, we were informed of a group of militant Hindus and Sikhs that were trying to stop the Crusade. Since my dad had previously ministered in this area, they knew that the power of God had been with him, and they did not want to see their city be converted to Christ. With this in mind, the police had told our Crusade Director that we would have been arrested on the spot if we had even shown up at the Crusade whatsoever. Not wanting to put in danger the people attending the Crusade or the Pastors who set it up, we complied with the police, and all the while the Crusade still went on. Even though we were not able to be present and do the ministry, the militant people of this area were not against locals preaching. So the Crusade went on with other Pastors preaching in our stead, and still people were saved. As we sat in our hotel room, praying for the Crusade, I was reminded of Genesis 50:20, where Joseph spoke to his brothers. It applied so much to us as Satan “intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” How true that Scripture was for Joseph, and how true it was for us on this Crusade! Though Satan sent people to try to harm us, threatening our lives, God intended it for good. And even though things did not go as we had originally planned them, even though my dad was not preaching at the Crusade and we were not even allowed to be at the Crusade, still it went on and thousands were saved, delivered and healed--Hallelujah!

Not being able ourselves to do ministry in our originally planned city, I traveled about two hours away and preached in a hostel to many orphans or otherwise very poor teenagers, and delivered a message of hope and power to them! As the day with these teens started off with great worship and dancing, the Joy of the Lord was felt among us. All of us joined our voices together and began to praise our Heavenly Father. Filled with the fire of God to preach to the lost, I spoke Salvation and Repentance to the hundreds of teens gathered; and the Spirit of Salvation and Repentance was upon that upper room as so many of them committed their lives to Jesus. Thankfully, doors were opened for my father and I to also travel another couple hours on Sunday morning to preach in churches and minister to people.

This trip was not what we expected whatsoever. But I am so thankful that I do not serve a boring God! The life of a passionate follower of Christ is never dull, but always exciting! And no matter what happens, God can and will make a way when there seems to be no way. The God of the impossible showed up once again as He always does to make sure thousands of people were transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light in the midst of hostility. Thank you so much for your prayers and support! You have a part in the lives of the people who were changed in this Campaign. May the Lord bless you richly!
