The Great Commission Network

I bless you, dear partners, in Jesus’ name! I hope your New Year has started off well. This month, we are celebrating the Great Commission Network (GCN): A Ministry of Wagner Ministries International (WMI). Last year, GCN chose to merge with WMI. It has now become the primary online Evangelistic Ministry of WMI.

Holy Hunger

I bless you, dear partners, in Jesus’ mighty name!  I hope your Christmas holiday was truly a blessing for you and your family.  Recently, our Ministry conducted a wonderful Crusade and Leader’s Conference in the nation of Myanmar.  Myanmar has a long history interwoven with the history of Buddhism. Today, out of a population of 52 million, over 80% are Buddhist.

Abdul Turns from Allah to Jesus

Abdul had been a Muslim for years. He was devoted to Allah. He was not only a nominal Muslim or a cultural Muslim, he was fully committed to the cause of Islam. In fact, he had devoted his life and occupation to the increase and spread of Islam. His job was that of a mosque planter. You may have heard of a church planter, someone who travels from one city to the next, starting new congregations, then passing off that church to a pastor so he can go to the next city and repeat the process. This was Abdul’s job, except instead of planting Christian churches, he was planting Muslim mosques. As I said, this was a committed Muslim man.

The Privilege of Partnership

November is the month when we make a special invitation to you to partner with our Ministry financially. We know that as the end of the year approaches, many of you are looking for Ministries to partner with, and we want to invite you to include WMI as one of your places to give your tax-deductible donations.

Peace in the Midst of Persecution

I returned from Nicaragua last month and only two weeks later traveled to the country just to the northwest of it: El Salvador. This country, while close in proximity to America compared to most the countries in which we minister, has experienced the sort of problems that are so prevalent in other parts of the world. This country has been ravaged by political corruption, drug cartels and gang violence. It is currently the murder capital of the world—more people are murdered in El Salvador, per capita, than any other country in the world.

The Transformation of Nicaragua

I have just returned from Nicaragua for what was the most historic week in this nation’s history! In 2013, our ministry joined with many others to converge upon the nation of Honduras for One Nation One Day, a nationwide evangelistic event. In 2015, we joined 2,000 missionaries and did the same thing in the Dominican Republic. Last week, more than 2,500 missionaries from 33 nations around the world flooded the nation of Nicaragua with the love of Jesus. It is difficult to describe in words what Jesus did last week, but I will try.

Does Crusade Evangelism Work?

Throughout the years, we have traveled to some of the most unreached parts of the world sharing the Gospel with those who have never heard it. While many have supported us throughout the years, there are those who have been skeptical that crusade evangelism is effective. “What happens to those who have been saved, do you just leave them to fend for themselves?” “If you are only in a country for a week, how do you think you can make a long-term impact?” “Crusade evangelism does not work because it does not produce true disciples of Jesus Christ.”

The Power of Prayer

We have some exciting news to share with you! As you know, for 17 years we have been ministering all over the world, and we have had such great fruit throughout the years. We have seen God do amazing things in the lives of the people we have had the privilege of ministering to and God’s power has been so present in every place we have gone. That being said, we know God has even more in store for us. There are a number of things we are doing to expand our ministry, but one of the most important things we are doing is integrating more prayer into our ministry. Six months ago we mentioned that we were launching an intentional prayer initiative with our partners and we have seen great effectiveness in that already.

A Month of Missions

This month, 2 of our staff members--Daniel and Luke--will be embarking on month-long Ministry trips with Oral Roberts University.  Daniel will be leading a team to Chile, and Luke will be part of a team traveling to the Philippines.  We’d like to tell you about these trips this month, so that you can be in prayer for Jesus to use them and their teams mightily for the Lord!  Here’s what Daniel has to say about his trip to Chile:

The Most Strategic Nation on Earth

I recently got back from a great crusade in the mainly Hindu nation of Nepal, and want to thank you so much for praying for its success! About 2 years ago, you may remember that a devastating earthquake rocked Nepal. Christian Ministries from around the world flooded Nepal with aid and the love of Jesus, and because of their witness, Nepal has now really opened up to the Gospel! Our crusade there was in a big field alongside the busiest street in the city. Everyone passing by got to hear the Gospel—it was awesome!

Seven Months of Salvation

The last seven months have been a whirlwind for our ministry. It has been the busiest time in our ministry's history, not because we love being busy, but because we know the urgency of the Great Commission. All over the world people are dying without Jesus and going to Hell. That reality motivates us to GO and tell this world about Jesus.

History in Cuba

The devil is no match for Jesus! If you have served the Lord for any amount of time, I am sure you have come to realize this truth. As an evangelist, I have observed this reality time and again. On my most recent crusade trip to Cuba, I saw Jesus consistently defeat the works of the devil and I want to tell you some of these stories.

Ministry in Myanmar

Well, I just got back from a great Crusade in the predominantly Buddhist nation of Myanmar, and want to thank you so much for praying for its success!  Through your faithful prayers, Jesus did amazing works there, and I am confident in the days to come that this great nation in Southeast Asia will experience a great Spiritual Awakening—it is indeed so ripe for Harvest!  I am already planning to go back to a different city there in the Fall for another Crusade, God willing.

The Supernatural in El Salvador

I hope this letter finds you well and that you are enjoying this holiday season and spending lots of time with family and friends. Recently, Joshua, Anna, and I went to El Salvador to minister across the country for the week. We were preaching at Nuevo Pacto Christian School all week, at a youth conference and at churches across the entire country. I also got the chance to lead worship several times, both in Spanish and English.

Cuba: A Country at a Crossroads

I just got back from preaching another Revival in Cuba, and after spending another set of fruitful days in Cuba, I am convinced that I need to ask you all to do something absolutely vital: I’m asking you to pray fervently that the people of Cuba—nationwide--would choose to serve Jesus Christ at this pivotal time in their history!  Let me explain…

Salvation to the Hindus

Nothing is impossible with God! I have just returned from our crusade in southeast Asia, which is a miracle, years in the making. For the past two years our ministry has requested visa access to this country three times, and each time we were denied by the anti-Christian government. It would have been easy to give up, but we could not, not after hearing about the city awaiting us. The pastors and churches in this city were begging for us to come. Each time our visa was denied, they were devastated, but they refused to stop praying and believing. They joined with us in fasting and praying for this crusade to come to their city. You see, this city is one of the most remote places we have ever been. Less than 1% of the city is Christian as almost every person is either Hindu or Muslim. This city was so remote that it does not have a hotel, many of the people have never seen a white person before, and almost all of them have never heard the name of Jesus.

First of all, I want to thank you so very much for praying for our Crusade last month in the capital city of Madagascar—Antananarivo!  Jesus truly did awesome things at this event.  In 3 days, we had 60,000 people attend!  And 10,000 of those same people received decision cards, indicating that they had repented of their sins and made either first-time or first-time-in-a-long-time decisions for Christ!  Hallelujah for Harvest!
