Dear Brothers & Sisters,
I wrote to you last month that this October crusade in Asia had been postponed twice already in the past 18 months because of Christian persecution; and having just concluded this crusade, I know why the devil tried to stop it. There were many people who were very concerned that our crusade would be shut down or worse, yet God protected us. By the end of the week, people kept calling this an historic event for this city of 3+ million people, and indeed it was! This area is home to three of the largest religions in the world: Hinduism, Sikhism & Islam. But after this week I am happy to report that there are less of them now as thousands gave their lives to Jesus!
On the 2nd night of the crusade, I preached about how Mary Magdalene was a prostitute in whom were seven demons. I preached that, like Mary, Jesus wanted to set the people free from their life of sin and deliver those who were demonized. I tell people all the time, “You get what you preach. When you preach Jesus as Savior, He saves. When you preach Jesus as Healer, He heals. And when you preach Jesus as the deliverer, He casts out demons.” That night we had many healing testimonies, but never before had I had so many people testify to being delivered from demons. It seemed as if every other testimony was a woman who had been delivered from demons, just like Mary Magdalene. In a couple of instances, the demonized even came on stage and began to manifest demons there in front of the crowd, but within minutes the demons were cast out (you can view a video of this at our ministry’s YouTube page).
Among those women delivered, was a 15-year-old girl (seen below). Three months earlier she had become demonized. She was pulled out of school as she lost the ability to read and write. She would writhe on the ground and scream. She could no longer even identify her own parents or siblings. Her Hindu family heard about the crusade, came, and put their trust in Jesus and when I prayed for the demons to be cast out, she was set free! Weeping, her parents brought her to the stage to testify. She could not stop smiling and thanking Jesus for setting her free! Jesus still delivers! In addition to the crusade, I trained 400 pastors at our Pastors Conference, who are now already beginning the process of discipling and baptizing these many new believers. We also had a Teens Conference and a Marriage Conference for more than 100 Christian couples. This truly was an historic week for this city, and I thank you for giving and praying so that together we were able to bring in a great harvest for Jesus! Jesus is Lord of Asia!
